z-hight adjuster for Makerbot Replicator clones
Description
This Is A Simple But Functioning Z-Hight Adjuster For Ctc Twimaker It Likely Will Work With Ctc, Wanhoa All The Sort Of Makerbot Replicater Clones And The Makerbot Itself (Untested). The Part Had Been Prepared For Mounting A Lever That Hits The Trigger But It Turned Out It Was Not Needed. Can Be Seen In The Pictures, Have It Removed From The Stl-File Eventually. The 2Nd Version Stl Files Are Present But I Don'T Need Them. Have Put This Without The Lever To My Crappy Ctc Twimaker. I Had Seen Some Stiffening Bed Mods Or Complete New Bed Holder Builds Made From 20X20 Aluminium Extrusions. But They Would Cost To Much Effort To Do. I Really Wanted Something Capable Of Doing A Fast And Fine Adjustment On The Z-Hight Endstop At Least As Good As The One I Had Used On The Modified K8200. . Sorry "Rick 3D" , But Your Moveable Z-Stop Mount Plate Really Does Not Do Well. This Kind Of Shaky Thing Is Not The Adjuster I Wish To See On My Stuff. It Looks Nice On Cad Screen, But In Reality-It Is A No Go. Holder: Yes, But It Is Not An Adjuster. So Here It Is. Print Out The Part. It Is Sized To Match The Plywood 5Mm Thickness, The Cutout Is 75Mm Wide. Put A Long 3Mm Screw With Small Head In. If It Dares You Secure The Screw: -Put A Spring In Between On The The Top As Seen In The Pics. -The Bracket Has A Cave For A Hexnut On The Bottom. So Put One Hexnut In If You Like. . If You Find The Switch Pcb Mounted Using Two Washers 5Mm Thick, Replace Them With 2-3Mm Thick Or Leave Them Out. At Least Screw The Pcb Directly To The Back If You Have No Washers By Hand. Print Out A Pair Of Washers ? Put The Bracket With The Screw On The Left Side Over The Edge Of The Plywood. Push It Down Until It Sits At The Bottom. Make Sure The Screw Head Hits The Trigger Or Lever On Trigger (I Have It Removed From The Switch). Do Not Hit The Pcb Itself. This Thing Was Made With Tinkercad.
