Skywatcher EQ5 / EQ6 Counterweight Thumbscrew
Description
The Typical Skywatcher Thumbscrews Used To Tighten The Counterweights Are Very Easy To Break By Dropping Or Tool Use. I'Ve Rarely Seen A Decent Used Mount With These Intact. I'Ve Built These To Replace My Own, A Bit Oversize - I Found The Original Ones Too Small For My Liking. Please Note They Go A Bit Over The Counterweight Edge On One Side. They Fit Snugly On The Grooved, 9.5 Mm Wide Head Of The Factory M8 Bolts. Gently Hammer Them In After Applying A Drop Of Epoxy. Le 19.09: The Ones Originally Printed In Pla @ 15% Infill Gave Up After Some Time, So I Reprinted In Petg, With 40% Infill - Way Sturdier. I Now Reccommend Bumping Up The Infill On The Pla Version Or Using Petg.
