The Framptobot Is A Friendly Little Modular Robot. It’S Constructed From 3D Printed Parts, Easily Available Standard Components And The Odd Household Item. It Normally Has An Arduino In The Middle Keeping Things Under Control. We'Ve Been Using This With A Small Electronics Club For Kids. We’Re Working On Comprehensive, Easy To Follow Documentation Of Both The Hardware And Software Components. See <Https://Framptobot.Org/>. The Framptobot Was Designed For Low Cost, Easy Printing And Assembly And Reusability Of Parts. Everything Is Held Together With Clips Or Bolts And Can Be Undone. All The Designed Parts Are Freely Available To Download And Print Using Pretty Much Any 3D Printer. The Software Is Also Freely Available To Download. As Well As The Base Robot There Is A Small Array Of Add Ons Available To Download On The Same Basis. These Take The Form Of Inserts Which Fit Onto The Platform At The Front And/Or Alternative Lids. At The Time Of Writing We Have: Flipper And Spinner Inserts For Mini Robot Combat. A 4-Wheel Drive Version Utilising Both An Insert And Extended Lid. An Insert For A Gripper Than Can Grasp And Lift Small Objects. A Tall Lid With Fittings For An Aa Battery Pack. The Minimum Bill Of Materials Is: Around 70G Of Filament In Pla. 2 Continuous Rotation Fs90R Servos. An Arduino Nano Or Pro-Mini. A Battery (Or Aa Battery Pack). Sundry Wires, Connectors And Bolts. Rubber Bands Or Bicycle Inner-Tube For Tyres. Here In The Uk At The Start 2018 The Total Build Cost Would Be Around £15, A Little More If You Don’T Have Some Of The Sundries Available.
