Filaments.ca EconoFil™ Refill Master Spool for Small Print Beds

Description

This Is A Master Spool Compatible With The Econofil™ Filament Spool Refills By Filaments.Ca™ Specifically Designed As Multiple Parts That Can Be Printed On Small Print Beds. The Complete Spool Halves Are Assembled With Screws To Ensure Strength. The Two Halves Are Connected Using Four Machine Screws And Nuts; Though I Suspect That Two Diametrically Opposite Screws Might Suffice To Keep The Spool Together After A Refill Is Loaded. Holes For Holding The Filament End Are Located Through The Edges Of The Spool'S Wings/Arms. The Holes Have A Slight Curve Opposite To That Of The Filament Coil To Ensure A Secure Hold On The Filament End Without Causing Bending Or Kinking. The Design Consists Of Two Parts - The Hub, And The Wing. You Need To Print Two (2) Hubs And Eight (8) Wings. Hardware Used To Assemble The Spool: \#4 X 3/4" Flat Head Wood Screws (Qty: 16) \#6-32 X 2" Round Or Pan Head Machine Screws (Qty: 4) \#6-32 (5/16") Machine Screw Nuts (Qty: 4) Assemble Each Spool Half By Attaching Four Wings Using #4 Screws. I Didn'T Use Glue On My Wings; And The Finished Spool Seems Plenty Strong. Insert Nuts Into The Bottom Of Each Of The Hexagonal Pockets On The Hub. On My Spool, The Nuts Fit Snugly Enough That I Didn'T Need Glue To Secure Them. Your Spool Will Now Be Ready To Use. Load A Refill Onto The Spool, Add The Second Spool Half, Then Secure Together With The Machine Screws. Please Note: This 'Master Spool' Design Is Not Compatible Richrap'S Masterspool Specification; It Is Designed For Use With Filaments.Ca'S Econofil Refills Only.
