Description

18/06/2020 A New Version, Basically Rotated The Upper Smooth Rod Clamp To Allow It To Hold Better . The Function Is The Same But It Works So Much More Easily. I Will Let The Images Tell The Story Because Its Still The Same Idea. Added One For A8 I'M Sure I Won'T Be The Only One That Has Problems Accurately Setting The X Axis Level By Turning The Z Screws While Measuring To One Reference Or Another. The Reference That Does Matter Of Course Is The Y Axis Smooth Rods Because That'S What The Bed Travels Along. I Have Used Devices Designed By Others That Rely A Lot On Alignment Being Properly Square If It Is To Be Accurate And Its Easy To Be A Little Off. This Design Clips To The X Axis Rods Above The Y Axis, You Lower The X Axis Either By Hand Or Pc Incrementally Until Using The Paper Test That We Use For The Nozzle We Feel A Bit Of Drag, Unclip The Gauge To The Other Side Above The Y Rod And Repeat The Test Till You Are Sure Its Correct. The Gauge Is Intentionally Made To Be Easy To Knock Off The Rods In Case Its Left On In Error Or Bumped, If You Find It Won'T Stay On The Rods By Its Own, See The Image Where I Used A Length Of 8Mm Rod To Smooth Out The Printing Bumps And It Should Stay On By Its Self . Print It On Its Side With Supports I Use A Few Gcode Commands To Put The Printer Into A Suitable Position For Testing, Your I3Pro B Should Be Roughly The Same Dimentions But Things Like Hot End Length And The Amount Of Compression You Have On The Hot Bed Springs Will Change The Actual Distance Between The Axis Rods. G28, Home G1 Z33.5 F3000, Raise The Carriage Toabout The Correct Height G1 Y200 F3000, Bring The Bed Forward G1 X100 F3000, Move The Carriage To The Middle. Please Leave A Comment If Youfindany Problems, Or If You Think Its A Helpful Idea.
