I Wasn'T Content With The Moderate Peril I Subjected My Iphone To With The Iphone Mixer Attachment (Thing 18929), So I Thought I'D Step Things Up A Bit With This Beauty. I'Ve Heard Lots Of People Extol The Virtues Of Glass As A Build Platform, So This Seems Like A Natural Use For An Iphone 4. This Iphone Holder Is Designed To Replace The Heated Build Platform On A Makerbot Thing-O-Matic. The Four Sections Fit Together Using Dovetails And Once The Phone Is In Place, The Platform Is Quite Solid. The Phone Will Fit Face-Up Or Face-Down. There Is No Provision For Heating The Build Platform, So It Probably Will Work Best With Pla. Created For The Absurd Iphone Accessory Contest Sponsored By Engineervsdesigner (Evd) And Makerbot Industries. The Parametric Openscad File Relies On Sorup'S Iphone4 Model (Thing 12879) For Various Constants, But Does Not Use The Model Itself. It Also Relies On Jag'S Dovetail Module (Thing 10269).
