London Tower Design No. 65
Description
While Exploring The Public Domain Review, I Stumbled Upon A Collection Of The More Inventive Submissions To A London Tower Design Competition Held In 1890. This Is The First In A Series Of My Own Interpretations Of Those Ideas That I'M Calling The "London Tower Project". London Tower Design Competition: This Competition, Which Yielded Some Irresistibly Imaginative Ideas, Was The British Response To The Overwhelming Ovation Recieved By The Unveiling Of Eifel Tower In Paris In 1889. At The End Of The Competition Design No. 37 By Stewart, Mclaren And Dunn Was Chosen To Be Built In Wembley Park, But Unfortunately After A Series Of Issues With The Foundation And Funding The Project Was Abandoned In 1892 And The Remaining Structure Removed A Few Years Later In 1905. With The Exception Of Design No. 37, These Wonderful Concepts Never Saw The Light Of Day, Until Now! My London Tower Project Strives To Explore The Imagination Of A Past Generation Through The Actualization Of These Design Submissions.
