MakerSlide Mendel

MakerSlide Mendel

Description

A 3D Printer Using Makerslide For The X,Y, And Z Axis. Size Only Limited By The Length Of Makerslide And Size Of The Heatbed. The One I Made Uses A 9" X 9" Printing Surface And It Has A Lot Of Extra Room Around It To Go Larger. It'S Currently Set Up To Use A Bowden To Supply The Hot End And An Ebay Led Ring To Light Up The Bed. Updated 2/6/14: Added Files For A Fender Washer And A Rod Bracket To Mount A Rod With A 608 Bearing To Support The Y-Axis Belt. It Keeps It From Whipping Up And Down During A Print, When It Does It Enough, It Can The Cause The Y-Axis To Randomly Lost Steps. The Belt_Bearing.Stl Mounts To The Side Of The Y-Axis Makerslides To Hold The Rod. You'Ll Also Need Four Nuts, Two Standard Washers And A Length Of All-Thread. Update 3/10/16: Found That The Ms_Upper_Base Isn'T Needed, The Z Is Still Solid Without Them. Discovered That When I Moved The Bed Heater To Under The Al Bed, Which Lowered The Bed Height. The X-Axis Then Hit The Upper Base Before The Hotend Touched The Bed. Also Uploaded A Few Other Fixes I'Ve Done Since The Last Update, Like The Springs Aren'T Needed For The Z-Nut Holders.
