Sidebar for CR-10 with SD card outlet and tool holder
Description
I have designed this new side bar companion for the CR-10 Power Supply. It allows for a micro SD to full SD extension so that you can use large easy to insert SD cards frontally. Works with this product from Amazon: http://a.co/4kNZiRn It has a space for extra SD cards in the front, a protected access for the USB cable, a tool holder bar on top. I made it so it mounts to the side of the Power Supply to the existing 4 mounting screws. You will need 4 M4 x 10 mm screws. Its best to mount with bottom of power supply removed so you can support internal component when unscrewing side screws. I like to add a few drops of hot glue to the ribbon cable of the SD extension to fold it nicely. I went through many iterations and 1.5 kgs of PLA! Hope you like it, if you do please post your printed version! I printed standing up on the bottom rail. I used supports (but manually removed those from the 45 degree rising surfaces, and the round holes as these print easily without supports- you don’t have to do this but its an easy job in S3D) If you print and like them please post your photos!
