Stingray - Tricopter

Stingray - Tricopter

Description

This tricopter has, innovative yaw mechanism with bearings. Very well balanced, it will stay leveled on the tip of your finger. Weight excluding battery is around 600g - I know its not the lightest drone but it compensate for this with durability. During testing drone survived some serious crashes and yaw mechanism seems to be bulletpoof. I fly it on 4s 1600mah battery it last for about 8 - 10 mins of flight. There is still enough room to fit bigger battery. You need minimum 200x250mm bed size to print this model. Recommended prop size is 5" RC components used: - Flight controller: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/illuminati-32-flight-controller-with-osd-cleanflight-supported.html - ESC: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/xm20a-mini-esc.html - Motors: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/2205-2350-kv-cw-v-spec-mongoose.html. - Camera: 700TVL Mini FPV Camera - Video Transmitter: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/tramphv-v2-eu-version.html - Servo: EMAX-ES08MA Yaw mechanism parts: - 2x Bearings: 625-2RS - 5mm metal rod - 4x shaft collar to fit 5mm rod (make sure collar has 2 holes on opposite sides) I found that rc plane landing gear collars fit very well. There are 2 frame options: V2 for high power leds and V1 with holes in main spacer for 5mm leds. There will be more photos and videos soon. I spend many hours designing and testing this model, I hope you will appreciate my creation and if you print one please share photos :) Note: For those who already downloaded old files: 4 in 1 esc wasn't best choice, one I listed before isn't very reliable, at the end i went for individual DYS escs.
