EGI HCGSN EEG Electrode Model
Description
This is a rough scale model of the an electrode from the EGI Hydrocel Geodesic Sensor Net. In training, I was tired of passing around a tiny electrode to a group or drawing a rough sketch for them. To solve this, I made a quick model. I didn't take any measurements, so it's not super accurate. For a teaching tool, it does the trick. The model is approximately 3.3cm tall at it's current scale. Feel free to shrink or enlarge the file as you see fit. I would love to see a giant one, but please post makes of any size as it makes my day. There are 2 versions of the base, one with a cutout so that you can add a wire and see how the electrode pellet is embedded into the base and one that is solid. A wire of about 2mm in diameter works quite well when held into place with hot glue (or your adhesive of choice). The ones that I made I have left so that the pellet is removable, but if you want to glue it into place, go for it. Developed by Graham Holt at the Laboratories of Cognitive Neuroscience of Boston Children's Hospital. This object was modeled in TinkerCAD.
