A8 Anet Fume Filtration Assembly

A8 Anet Fume Filtration Assembly

Description

im making a inclosure for my printer, and the smell of the fumes of the melting plastic while I was making the upgrades for my printer were getting to me , and to keep the heat in the printing area so my parts wont warp and planning on using ABS also, I came up with this accessory, this is a work in progress, as im still making and building the rest of the inclosure. I used a acrylic sheet for the rear wall and base will add more when the funds are in for more of the enclose, the fan in this project is either a 80mm or 90mm size fan I had a few 80 siting around so that's what's in the filter box, and on the out side of the box underneath it I used aluminum tape helps reflects the light rope I have on it and since im using PLA 1.75 plastic to print it all, also seals the front and back end of the box took me awhile to print it up all the parts but if you want to just print out the fumes box and use acrylic sheet for the top side that works also. what I used for the filter is filter pad https://www.petsmart.com/fish/filters-and-pumps/filter-media/marineland-rite-size-filter-pads-17130.html and active carbon https://www.petsmart.com/fish/filters-and-pumps/filter-media/api-aquarium-activated-filter-carbon-16972.html I was here at PetSmart for dog food anyways lol, also the top side ends end's I made for the assemble they hold a 608 bearing 8mm x 22mm x 7mm , if you don't want to use a bear here I added a bearing slug to fill in the gap. these ends add a bit more stability to the top end, at less it did on my printer.
