Dremel printer filament spool and winder kit for 3D45
Description
The Dremel brand printers use proprietary size filament spools. This printable spool allows you to transfer aftermarket filament, to be used inside the Dremel 3D45 printer. It has a center spindle size of 17mm. I have noticed it might not fit the 3D20 and 3D40 printers. A new version is now available which has a 20mm center spindle size. See my other Thing. This spool is slightly smaller than the Dremel OEM spool due to the 6" printable size limitation of the printer. The hexagon shape allows a slightly larger edge to edge dimension. This is a two part design that uses minimal support and can either be glued or taped together. It easily holds 0.5 kg of filament, which is the OEM amount from Dremel. A new round version is also now added. I have also created a two part filament winding spindle to fit this spool and also the Dremel OEM spool. Use a drill and pencil on the ends to quickly transfer the filament from one spool to another. 9/5/18 Added holes to Spool part A to lock filament at start and end. 11/28/18 Added a similar design which will fit the Dremel 3D20 and 3D40 printers also.
