Clip on paper holder

Clip on paper holder

Description

The latest Version 5 added... this now has improved paper location.... shorter in height and additional stand is provided. This easy to print paper holder can hold A4 and A3 paper in landscape or portrait. It can be placed directly onto the desk or it can be clipped on to your laptop / tablet when desk space is limited. It can be used for many applications such as holding Engineering drawings / design Music script Recipes in the kitchen Art work Display units Menus Data input / reports ....etc Simply clip the paper first then slide onto your laptop / tablet the spring action will automatically grip the paper more firmly. To remove slide off and unclip. I have included 3 different sizes depending on the thickness of your laptop up to 12mm thick (1/2 inch) Also included is the OpenScad file so you can customise your own. The stand is optional but gives more stability for table top use, a must for A3 size paper The stand is not required for attaching to laptop. If you like my design dont forget to give me a like. :) Also check out my other designs..... thanks and enjoy https://www.thingiverse.com/Ken_Applications/designs Customise you own Instructions................................. Download OpenScad from http://www.openscad.org/downloads.html Run the attached file....... Paper_holder.scad Change parameters to suit your application Press F5 Please wait until it compiles the model Press F6 to render then save STL file for printing. Typical parameters that worked for me Alter_spring_gap=4;//0 to 7 (7 = the smallest gap about 5mm and 0 = larger gap about 12mm see attached picture) paper_gap=0.2; Depends how your printer prints small gaps without fusing together thickness=20; I recommend not less than 20 grip_end_L1=20; grip_end_L2=17; grip_radius=13; If this is too big it will not hold the paper in the upright position
