Home Assistant Thermostat Wall Plate
Description
This is a Thermostat cover for building a custom Smart thermostat using MQTT and relay. I set the case up so that no matter what flavor of board you have you should be able to just screw them (or glue them) to the plate on the inside with some small wood screws. I didnt add a slot for an LCD because its intended to be used with TASMOTA firmware and as far as i know that doesnt support LCD screens. It does have 3 holes for re-wiring the LED's on the relay board to show if your Heat, Fan, or Cooling are on. and there are holes in it for buttons to manually turn the system on or off, as well as one for external power for those of us out there without a "C" wire in our wall. the plate on the inside is ridges which should allow for easier locating of the screws as far as attaching things to it. you should be able to screw in a small wood screw to secure things inside or some small self tappers. the gaps between the ridges are roughly all 1mm. the holes for the LED's are 5.3mm (to allow a 5mm LED to fit after part shrinkage. and the holes for the buttons are 12mm with a 15mm gap between them. the entire box is setup to be about 25mm deep inside and 30mm from the wall give or take a mil or 2.
