Feiyutech WG2 Chest Harness

Feiyutech WG2 Chest Harness

Description

EDIT: After the print came off the bed I realized that the hole for the tripod screw was too big. I also thinned out that section to allow use of this thumb screw to mount the gimbal. I will post the link for the screw it was designed around below. Also I would like to note that cutting away an angled slot to allow the straps to slip on/off the chest plate worked very well. I am still unsure what I will do for my final part (resew the straps on permanently or just go with the slip on method) This is a chest mount that I drew. It uses the straps from the original GoPro Chesty. I just cut the original chest plate away. I personally sewed the straps back together, but if someone wanted they could just draw and add an extruded cut to allow loops to just slip on. I contoured it to my chest but feel free to try to make changes if you like. Also if your wearable gimbal is a different width it shouldn't be too hard to change the spacing of the two supports on the face. I designed it to work with a folding tripod thumb screw, but any 1/4" x 20 tpi screw around 11mm should work. Here is a good video showing why this chest mount is better than the GoPro one. I did not make this video, credit goes to Trailfeatures on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwCmXIXUf9c Any questions feel free to ask! I have included a .sldprt file and a STEP 214. If you have trouble importing it to your software and would like me to try exporting something else from Solidworks, please let me know!
