CubeAnet 8 E3D Chimera Cyclops mount with BLTouch
Description
Upgrade your CubeAnet8 to dual extrusion with E3D Chimera or Cyclops. Recommended fans: Sunon 30x30x10 12V MC30101V1-G99 axial fan Sunon 50x50x15 12V MF50151VX-A99 radial fan Recommended throats: Ti6AL4V full metal throats I use BIQU Tango 1.0 as control board to have dual Z and dual extrusion. BLTouch Offsets: Nozzle 1: X: 43,398 mm Y: 11,960 mm Nozzle 2: X: 25,398 mm Y: 11,960 mm Z-Offset should be ~1,4 mm, but you have to check this anyway. The mount should work with E3D Cyclops as well since the heatbrake is identical. I designed this mount to use M3 nuts to go confirm with Marthen Bishops idea of using all old parts from ANET A8. A version with injection nuts will follow soon. I added a little support for the M3 nuts on the downside to enable bridging. Just break out these pins after printing and drill through the hole. Since the original Chimera has the grub screws for the throats on the backside, I bought a clone with those screws facing sidewards to allow easy access. The drint part cooling fan is still pretty simple, there might be a more complex version, which offers more surrounding air flow. The exhaust angle is right now set after gut feeling, i'll check for an optimized version. You should use silicone socks for your heatblocks, they do an awesome job shielding your hotblocks from too much airflow from the print part cooler. 2019_07_14: Added small modification to match Chimera Plus specs. If you want to buy a Chimera, consider the Plus version, since silicone socks will fit much better without tension. BLTouch Offsets: Nozzle 1: X: 44,398 mm Y: 11,960 mm Nozzle 2: X: 24,398 mm Y: 11,960 mm 2019_09_12: BLTouch Offset when using Cyclops-Heatblock: X: 34,398 mm Y: 11,960 mm
