Salt and Pepper Shaker
Description
Designed a salt and pepper shaker for the dining table. Shakers (2-3 hours each): Prints 35mm x 65mm, so you may wish to scale up to your preference. 0.1mm resolution in PLA came out beautifully. Printing at this resolution does take time, but the mirror shine seen in the pictures is straight off the printer. No sanding/buffing/polishing needed. Post Print, you'll need to make a hole in the top. I heated a tiny allen key, and popped in through the top. Just needs a little tidying with a knife afterwards. What I forgot to do was to mirror the 2nd shaker so it would be twisting in the opposite direction. I think this would have looked better. Stopper (3 minutes each): Print in TPU, very slowly with cooling to allow each layer to cool, otherwise you'll end up with a misshapen blob. Once you've filled the shaker, it should press in all the way to give a flat bottom. It gets stuck in really tight, so you may find it difficult to remove. Worst case, rip it out with pliers and print a replacement. Funnel (1.5 minutes): Just to make life easier when filling, this 90 second print fits perfectly and should make filling easier. PLA/PETG, whatever you fancy. Designed to print using a single skin using a 0.3mm nozzle. Print upside down, with a brim. UPDATE: Also designed napkin/coaster/shaker holder for them - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3091769
