BeamBot Pen Plotter
Description
After seeing the Axidraw, I knew I wanted one. However, at the price of $475, it is hardly worth it. I looked around Thingiverse for similar projects, but I was disappointed in the appearance and sturdiness of the majority of the machines. So I decided to design my own. I used two aluminum extrusions for the base to keep the machine rigid and sturdy. The machine runs on an Arduino UNO and a CNC shield, which are housed in a case between the two aluminum extrusions. This eliminates messy wires and the need for an electronics box separate from the machine. The machine runs with Inkscape and nearly any g-code sender. Please note this is a work in progress. All the parts needed to build the machine are listed in the files section, however the instruction manual is not yet complete. Instruction manual can be found here: https://penplotterassembly.dozuki.com/c/Pen_Plotter_Assembly *All sub-guides with asterisks are in progress*
