PFIbox (Printed Fluorescence Imaging Box)
Description
This is the 3D PFIbox model to accompany the <i>Cell Systems</i> paper "Open-Source High-Throughput Phenomics of Bacterial Promoter-Reporter Strains" by French, Coutts, and Brown (2018; https://doi.org/10.1016/j.cels.2018.07.004). The box is a 3D printed enclosure that holds a small transilluminator and a Raspberry Pi with camera, and images SBS footprint agar or microwell plates containing bacteria. Using your favorite flavor of image analysis tool (such as ImageJ or Fiji) bacterial colony fluorescence can be quantified, and analyzed in high-throughput.
