Modular Base for Raspberry Pi 3/Zero and Arduino Uno/Mega
Description
Modular base designed to attach one or more mini or half-sized breadboards to a Raspberry Pi 3, Zero, Arduino Uno, Mega, or any combination of these. Each model has multiple connection points on 3-4 sides of each base plate. The Pi base has been tested on the 3B+, and also was designed to be able to hold a GPIO reference card if used with the short standoffs in the back. Created to teach classes with beginner high school and middle school students. This project will contain the main boards, with future additions containing different types of attachments in their own projects with links here. ______________________________________________________________ ###Additional Modules Ultrasonic Sensor Mount - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3152141 Raspberry Pi Camera Mount - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3152157 LEGO Technic Adapters - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3160751 9v Battery Holder - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3174688 Stacking Clip - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3192327 LED Tower - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3214048 Rocker Switch Mount - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3423651 ______________________________________________________________ Major Update 11/09/18: =================== * Created standoffs as separate parts. These print much stronger now, and can be replaced. * Turned the holders on the breadboard bases into separate parts for the same reason. * Created caps for the Arduino standoffs to help hold board on if yours has larger holes * Updated connector. It is now harder to get in on first use, but has a longer life. This is a part I want to improve further. ______________________________________________________________ Previous Update 10/12/18: ------------------------------------ * Reworked existing models to add more attachments points * Added models for Arduino Mega, Raspberry Pi Zero, and a half-sized breadboard * Removed permanent connecting points on breadboards to allow for more variable use, and prevent having to junk the part if they break * Refined connecting peg to better hold parts together
