PI ZERO IR Night Vision Camera - Flower and Pot case design

PI ZERO IR Night Vision Camera - Flower and Pot case design

Description

I recently got my very own pet hamsters. I love to watch them play and eat and even sleep. I can't get enough of them. So I decided to make a streaming camera to keep an eye on them no matter where I am. The only problem is that hamsters are nocturnal and usually are most active at night and in the dark. Using a PI ZERO and NO IR camera, I created a streaming camera that could see in the dark.I created a case in the shape of a flower and pot to hold the components. I got the idea for the stem from my helping hands. I create stem segments that snapped together. One of them has a set of leaves. You can use as many or little as you need. Depending on the tolerances of the printer, you may have a tighter or looser fit. I found that using a bit of wax helped smooth out especially tight pieces. I created the files all in TinkerCad. It was both challenging and rewarding to be able to finally hold something in my hand that worked. This is still a work in process and I will continue to make the parts betters. One of my next challenges is to make the power supply more simple. So stay tuned for updates. HOW TO - IR Night Vision Camera https://youtu.be/tVmH1V4TBdY Hope you enjoy this as much as i did :)
