Kumasogami Lava God Bust
Description
This is a bust* extracted from my full figure and diorama model of Kumasogami, the lava god from Toho's 1994 film Yamato Takeru aka Orochi the Eight Headed Dragon. The complete diorama is available at: https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/miniatures/sci-fi/kumasogami-the-lava-god Kumasogami is a somewhat obscure Toho kaiju, but featured an innovative design that I really loved. The creature is composed of magma, which glows through cracks in his body. He's able to shape shift somewhat in the film, and forms various weapons during his fight scene. The complete diorama features Kumasogami in his bow and arrow form emerging from his gateway in the film. While the figure can be printed and painted in blacks, reds, oranges, and yellows; I really designed him to be printed in clear resin on an SLA printer and lit from within using LEDs. My complete build shown in the last of the gallery photos features this effect. However you decide to finish him, I hope you'll post your make. I always enjoy seeing how people approach creature painting. * Note that this model contains only the head and a portion of the figure's upper torso. I hope you'll consider purchasing the complete diorama if you like the bust.
