Description
AcroBrat GPS (for BN-180) and VTX SMA (hex nut and TBS Unify versions) Mount. Also has holes for RX antenna tubes. No support needed. Print using layer height of 0.3mm. ( You can get the GPS from https://www.racedayquads.com/products/micro-ublox-m8n-gps-glonass or https://www.banggood.com/Smallest-Mini-Dual-GLONASSGPS-BN-180-Micro-Double-GPS-Antenna-Module-UART-TTL-For-CC3D-F3-p-1208587.html or https://www.banggood.com/Dual-BN-220-NEO-M8N-GPS-GLONASS-Antenna-Module-Ublox-M8030-TTL-Level-p-1208588.html?rmmds=detail-top-buytogether-auto__1&cur_warehouse=CN ) Update: 9/17/2018 - After testing this mount, I prefer the Lipo battery mount ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2980730 ) as the battery serves as an EMI shield to block out interference from electronic. With this mount, it takes longer to get GPS fix as I think the GPS is too close to FC/RX/VTX. I may get some copper tape or 3M EMI absorber to see if it will help block EMI interference. Update: 9/22/2018 Updated design to include a slot for 3M EMI absorber. With the 3M EMI absorber, I'm now able to get GPS fix very quick with over 10+ GPS. I got the 3M EMI absorber from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M1HRO4A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 $6.41 for 5 packs of 2 inch by 2 inch. They work amazingly well blocking EMI interference and are much better than copper foil. Just cut it to size and insert it to the slot under the GPS. I use 2 layers. Update: 11/18/2018 - I now recommend using BN-220 instead of BN-180 GPS module. BN-220 is slightly bigger but can lock on to more GPS better and quickly. BN-220 also has memory that allows you to change and save settings like port speed. I also recommend using the Lipo Mount instead of tail mount. Here is a link to a Lipo mount for BN-220. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3217191 12/11/2018 - added a version for BN-220. If you use the tail mount, it's helpful to use a longer VTX antenna like the VAS Ion V2 to keep the VTX antenna away from the GPS.
