Acura Shift Knob

Acura Shift Knob

Description

Shift knob to replace the one on my 2004 Acura RL. The old one's faux wood grain was rubbing off and it bothered me. So I made a new one. The hole is threaded for 10mm x 1.5mm threads, apparently this is the standard size for Honda/Acura vehicles for anyone that may stumble across this post. With my printer's settings this printed perfectly with no supports necessary, threaded right on to the car's shifter beautifully. Not done painting for the record! Edit: Might suggest using a jam nut arrangement. Here's why, I wanted the knob on tight so I gave the knob another twist and forgot just how much force a threads really impart. Split the knob and the top came off. My thought is using a nut underneath the knob to push 'up' on the knob to keep it tight in position.
