Fabrikator Mini V2 Spool Feeder with ball bearing (608)
Description
I was having A LOT of troubles about feeding, last week I got a massive clog. Filament started to stack in spiral before entereing the extruder tube, impossible to extract either way. I've had to disassembly completely the header and heat it to remove pieces and plastic. Printing goes so wrong it even took apart the insulating cotton of the heating block... a pain in the arse... So, I'm upgrading the ways it feeds filament, as it is one of the problems. First, feeding it backwards (turning the spool) 180º solves most of the problems, then the old feeder I printed has still too much friction (as it has no mobile parts) so I designed this one. Next will be the spool holder, the square metal piece is not a good solution, I'm implementing a piece with two ball bearings, compatible with any spool size (up to 1kg sizes). THIS ONE USES 608 BALL BEARING SIZE. This problems feeding was interfering a lot with my long print prototypes of the models for my Kickstarter campaign, which is anoying and frustrating... :(
