Modular Wall Mounted Spool Holder
Description
10/03/18 - Adjusted the tolerances on the arms and updated the files. They should slide in easier. A little bit of force is still required, but that is intended as it keeps the structure solid. 09/27/18 - It works pretty well. It's sturdy and gets the job done. I am going to play with the tolerances a little in order to make the assembly easier.. Right now it takes a bit of force to be put together. ------------------------------- This is a wall mounted modular spool holder that I am creating while waiting for my prusa mmu2. Holder.stl and holderbig.stl mount on the wall with 2 screws. Left arm and Right arm mount on the small holder by sliding them in and securing them with 1x screwsmall and 1x screwbig. (The screws are fairly optional, the arms will stay are stable even without them, but... i like threads) Middle arm is to chain multiple spools and require holderbig instead of the regular holder. Finally, SpoolHolder.stl sits between the arms and has two slots for regular 22X10X7 MM Skate Bearings (secure them with pin.stl) Everything is designed to not require any support structure, except for MiddleArm requiring minimum support. Print the arms flat on the bed. Print with strong settings.. at least 3 perimeters and decent infil. I am using priline cf-pc, but regular PLA should be good enough. You can use the rings to restrict the spool horizontal travel. The DrIYBox that you see in the picture can be found here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3138944
