Tesla Coil - 1/4" Primary Coil Supports (with Strike Ring supports)
Description
These are the Primary Coil supports which are currently on my Tesla coil. The design is for quarter-inch copper refrigeration coil, with a pitch of 0.48 inches per turn. I had to rebuild my primary coil twice over; each time I just glued the new supports on top of the old ones. This was my 3rd and final design. This is NOT a true flat coil; it is conical, angled 1.5 degrees up from the floor plane. Before uploading it here, I had added some options for you: 1. Zip tie holes 2. Three different heights of Strike Ring supports I didn't need the zip-tie holes, because my old supports below these ones provide the holes I needed to run zip ties underneath. The Strike Ring Supports are dimensioned by 'distance to outermost turn' of the Primary coil, measured from their centers. Those distances are: 1.125 inches, 1.25 inches, 1.4375 inches. All design-relevant dimensions are given in the Photos. Read the file names carefully to be sure of which ones you are downloading. If you want zip-tie holes, the filename must include "with zip-tie holes". If you're interested in seeing my coil running, check it out [here][1]. A little info: Started out as a rotary spark gap, now I run a static "sucker" gap. Major design influences: Greg R. Hunter, and Gao Guangyan [1]: https://youtu.be/0jAYsmk9nxE?t=1m37s "here"
