Overhead Filament Support Hub Set
Description
A while ago, I printed a set of overhead filament brackets from here: https://www.thingiverse.com/make:541868 I have been running it with a bare rod to support the reels of filament but thought it would be much better to have smoother rotation. Hence I designed this set of hubs. The threaded centers will fit on a standard 8mm rod, threaded or not. I designed lock nuts too, but I have found they are not really necessary in my setup, hence the optional shorter threaded center. The complete set of center, hubs and locks takes a good few hours to print, but I think it's worth it for the smooth rotation of the reel on the support. I printed them all with a small raft on my Anet A8 at 200Deg C hotend and 50Deg C bed (Anycubic Ultrabase with stock heatbed). I found that neither the threaded center or hubs required any supports and printed fine. You may find, as I did, that the pieces require a little 'working in' the first time you screw them together but be careful not to force it or cross-thread them. I almost damaged one of the hubs like this.
