Stryfe Flex Flywheel Cage - With Tabs - V2 (and Lid)

Stryfe Flex Flywheel Cage - With Tabs - V2 (and Lid)

Description

_________________________________________________________________________ UPDATE: 7 Oct 2018 V2 Now available! Printed this at 0.3 (damn, that's rough) for a test fit, the tabs DO work, however, on the side where the motor section attaches to the rest of the cage it's a bit of a tight squeeze to get the rubber retainer in there. I've quickly revisited the model and raised 2 of the clips by 1mm - this should allow the rubber retaining band to more easily attach. Also - mini update! Yeah. The Lid I referenced has had a tiny tweak and is included here too. I printed everything and popped the lid on the cage - the darts run sweet as a nut, but there's a tiny clearance issue and the flywheels rub now - this creates MORE noise than standard. I remixed the lid to give a 0.5mm lift at the mount point, this _should_ alleviate the current issue I have. Stay tuned. _________________________________________________________________________ This is a remix of the BlasterforgePH Stryfe Flex Flywheel Cage - with an extra added bonus. I printed the original and found my standard motors just fell out, even if I _could_ get them to grab by friction, they wouldn't stay located right into the hole at the top and sat at 'a bit of a squiff'! On the standard cage there are tabs either side of the motor which allows you to attach the included rubber retainers, these keep the motors snugged in rather nicely. I decided that this was a good idea and added them to the original model. NOTE: The original cage IS NOT MY DESIGN (and technically, the little retaining tabs are kinda borrowed from Hasbro . . . . . . ). Less said about that bit the better! :D Licence respects the original. So, here you are, if this is the cage you're after then great, if not then - well, great again; thanks for stopping by. Included in the 'remix' section is something you should also add if you're using an open cage like this:- https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2406096 This provides a bit of a cover for the cage, stopping errant darts squeezing out and jamming - obviously at the _worse_ possible time. Have fun and happy modding.
