Adjustable Geeetech i3 Pro B MK8 Fanduct with Open Side
Description
The position of this fanduct is adjustable in all 3 axes, so you don't have to change the height or orientation of the hotend when mounting it. It has an open side for better viewing through the webcam. The fanduct is designed for a radial fan with an air outlet with inner dimension of 17 x 13mm. I don't know anything about air flows, but if I got the physics right, the air streams will meet about 8mm below the bottom of the fanduct (I blew through it with an e-cigarette and it looks about right). That way you can mount it a little higher, which means less print destroying mess when filament gets stuck on it. The model is printable without supports, if your printer and slicer is tuned properly for small bridges. The model already has custom supports in the air holes, which you have to break out after printing. 2 M3 screws are recommended to connect bracket and fanduct. Though 1 M3 screw may be enough. A Fusion 360 file is available for modifications. You can print it with PLA. Just make sure each side has an equal distance to the hotend. If a side touches the hotend it will melt.
