Anet A8 / Marlin FW Filament Runout Sensor
Description
Attached PDF contains full documentation on how to integrate a Filament Runout Sensor in Marlin FW in an Anet A8 printer. Special thanks to Caverntwo on YouTube who is the inspiration for this documentation and the Anet A8 with Marlin configuration. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdETssS-ods&t=1s I started with his video and expanded on it based on how I wired it to my Anet A8. I highly recommend you watch his video and use this as a companion. Additional documentation has been created to support a 3-wire version with a LED indicator, which can be used on a RAMPS style board. This documentation includes basic Klipper FW instructions: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3918853 My sensor remix (thing link below) can be used in OctoPrint on a Raspberry PI. Follow Chris’s Basement YouTube video for how to configure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChjwIGxnivw&t=71s Note: This document can be applied to any 3D Printer running any controller with Marlin FW. You will have to adjust the PINS according to your printer’s main board. First, start by printing the needed pintables: - Filament Runout Sensor: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3142660 - Filament Tangle Sensor/Runout Sensor: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3143980
