Horus Kestrel V1 (by Horus Drones)
Description
Making the awesome Horus Kestrel model available in stl. Primarily for my own conveniance :) I like this model and am building a drone version at the moment with inav. Also included upgraded parts from the horus website. Website: http://horus-drones.com/ Grabcad model: https://grabcad.com/library/horus-kestrel-3d-1 Horus drones upgrades: http://horus-drones.com/kestrelv1-3d/ I'm using: 2206 Motors 2300KV racerstar SPROG 4S 1500mAh (trying x2 in parallel) 2 CW & 2 CCW 6x4.5x3 or 6045bn props Omnibus f4 (Banggood airbot omnibus f4v5) 4-1 ESC (Banggood airbot typhoon32) BN-880 GPS (Ublox M8N) with builtin magnometer FrSky R-XSR with uninverted hack and fport firmware Cheap loud buzzer Next drone will be made using an F7 with at least 5 uarts and seperate i2c pads. I’ve had great results with the mateksys f722-std on my other quad rotor. Built inav version 2.1 from source and enabled DSHOT in the OMNIBUSF4V3 target.h (#define USE_DSHOT) DSHOT1200 enabled! Also got the BN-880 playing nice with the Omnibus F4v5 so now I got the full set of GPS flight modes to try out :) Ow and did I mention telemetery now works! Full bells and whistles! Maiden went fine finally :D This thing is fast AF! Likes to be flown on the nose and turns on a dime :) VTails are FUN! Next step is to see if I can replace the FPV mount with a nicer cheap servo gimbal. SPLODED!!! :D Well.. sort of. Took a hit full speed into a reinforced wall dropping onto the concrete from a couple of meters above the ground. Split both arms and the tailbone. Printed new parts with the recommended infill and perimeters and after a couple of hours got her flying again :)
