Conduit Hole Cover with Removable Door

Conduit Hole Cover with Removable Door

Description

Decided to build this frame and door assembly to fit over a drywall opening in my garage. The opening was created to feed wires through the starting point of a conduit. Instead of closing up the hole with drywall and putty I thought it might be useful to have a removable door which will make life easier in the future to service the conduit or wires. I hope this makes someones life easier or perhaps it will come in handy if you need to cut your drywall and don't want to putty & sand or don't know how to refinish drywall. Dimensions, inside to inside (width=5.25in or 133.35mm, height=8.5in or 215.9mm) The screw holes were sized to fit drywall screws. Also there are 8 screws as I had to secure 2 pieces of the frame to the wall.
