Truck System Technologies (TST) Color Display Mount Bracket
Description
My class A motorhome has a tire pressure monitor system by Truck System Technologies (TST) and I use their color display. The display does not have a reliable mounting system although it comes with a rubber stand and a suction cup mount which don't work in my RV well. I designed a simple mount that can be used in various setups such as attaching a RAM ball mount or simply applying velcro to the back of the mount as I have velcro mounted below a display where I normally mount this while driving. I designed this in Fusion 360, while it looks simple it took several iterations to find the proper fit. The design has an orientation arrow as I applied a slight chamfer (slant) to the squares that insert into the display back. It fits securely. I tried first with PLA as that's my go to but it seemed a little brittle but it was also time to learn ABS. I am quite surprised with 80/230 temps (platform/extruder) the Hatchbox ABS worked great, no warping, and seems very strong. There are very small fillets in the base of the columns of the design to help reduce fracture points but they don't print very well, a little too small probably, but the mount seems very secure and the ABS is impressive. UPDATE: The first rendition was just being able to get the hooks right and be able to velcro the unit to the dash. I updated the design so that I can remove the display from the dash/velcro bracket if I need to review something on the unit. Didn't care to be pulling it off from the velcro so this design allows you to slide the unit up and out of the holder.
