Prusa MMU2 Wall Mount Spool Holder
Description
Update #3 05.09.2019 - For newer solution using this bracket see https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3845698 My take on a wall mounted spool holder for the Prusa i3 Mk3 with MMU2 unit. I only had three criteria for this design - 1) it should be fully 3D printed 2) it should be robust and 3) it should work. Print six Filament Rack's, rotate to lay flat on the bed. Two will fit on a Mk3 bed. Print five Filament Spool's, print vertically. Print six pairs of Filament Guide Upper and Lower, rotate flat edge to bed. Print five sets of Filament Guide Spindle and Filament Guide. Filament Guide Spindle and Filament Guide are reworked from PRUSA MMU2 Wall mount spool holder by ad_lamy https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3107842 . I am following his idea of inserting 150mm long PTFE tubes into each Filament Guide to allow the filament to loop out of the PTFE when being pushed back (not shown in images). Also requires - 10 off M3 x 20 Stainless Socket Cap (ends of Filament Guide Spindles) 12 off M3 Stainless Full Nut (Filament Guide Clamps) 12 off M3 x 10 Stainless Socket Cap (Filament Guide Clamps) Wallplugs and screws as required. Update 23-10-2018 - Added 10mm shorter Filament Guide Spindle and Filament Spool. Use these instead of the standard ones which will allow 10mm reduction in each spool bay width, therefore reducing the overall width of the entire assembly. Standard size has brackets at 125mm centres, reduced version is at 115mm centres. Overall width of complete std version is ~650mm, shorter version ~600mm. Each std spool bay will take up to 105mm width spools, shorter version allows up to 95mm. Update #2 23-10-2018 - User ElmoC has kindly provided two printable drilling guides to assist with correct spacing of wall brackets, one for each width version.
