3dpBurner2 Front Legs Combined With Idler Mounts
Description
For Dual Y Motors on the 3DPBurner2 Only! The original front legs were combined with the original base idler mounts to make installation and ALIGNMENT MUCH EASIER! To make this even easier use my custom drill templates: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3882654 The main reason I did this was to eliminate the bolt holes that were off to the side of the belt idler mounts making them much narrower giving me extra room so that I could fit an all in one control panel on my machine which uses a 12"x24" (10"x20" working size) base. (The last picture shows the problem before I came up with this solution.) A side benefit of dual Y motor setup is that you have more room in the middle of the machine to install your electronics between the belts. These mounts push the belts out to the maximum distance possible which gives you even more room between the belts/motors. These mounts still use the 8mm rods, but I have a newer corner post that now uses 10mm rods and bearings for much less flex when you build your machine with a longer Y axis. (You will also need the uprights that house the LM10UU bearings. You can find more info in the FB group link below.) The new V2.5 design also eliminates the entire heavy threaded rods and nuts that originally was used to adjust the belt holders on the threaded cross rods Now there are no adjustments needed since the entire bridge has been completely redesigned. 3dpLaser Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1954363414864763/ Be sure to join to see the exciting new mods that I am have been working on!
