Maslow Chain Tensioner / Keeper (outta trouble)

Maslow Chain Tensioner / Keeper (outta trouble)

Description

After spooling the chain around the sprocket because of low bungee tension I designed this system with these goals. No springs, No bungees, Keep the chain on the same plane as the sprocket, and keep the excess chain away from interfering with loading a sheet of plywood. Thanks to Min T Lin for his work on his parametric pulley file (I added a few lines of code to it so you can press fit a 608 pulley into it using a vise). The square pulley was needed so I designed that one. The small wedge pieces are for the rear rail to hold the 1/8 by 1" aluminum rail the rear pulley use. I just used two 1/2 nuts to hold the front rail in place. See YouTube JtandHz for full video of this project. Use the square bottom pulley for the rails and the curved bottom pulley for the rope and chain. I used two 2.5# weights to supply constant tension on each chain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOj3xk9kWuM&t=554s for a video of this device.
