Quadlock Compatible Wireless Charger Car Mount
Description
This is a wireless charging mount for those with QuadLock phone cases. I recently saw the just released Official Quadlock Wireless Charger Car mount, but balked at the eye watering price of £74.95. So for this project I bought a GoPro windscreen suction mount (£5.49), the cheapest wireless charging transmitter module I could find on ebay (£2.99), and modelled/printed the rest. Obviously not as pretty or refined as the official Quadlock Wireless car charger, but hey it's cheap and 3D printable. My design is optimised for 3D printing and comes in multiple parts for easy printing and testing. I would advise you to print this in ABS or similar if you plan to leave this in your car or in hot weather as other plastic may deform in the heat. *I'm still adding more mounting plates for added flexibility and compatibility for other suction mounts. Choose one that suits your needs. I am currently using the 'Offset Extended GoPro Mount' as my iPhone 8 Plus is too large for my windscreen.* ** If you have any problems or need design changes let me know in the comments. ** ** Hardware: ** * 5 x 12mm M3 Flat Head Socket Cap Screws* * 1 x M3 Nyloc Nut * 1 x Wireless Qi Charging Module (Transmitter) * 1 x GoPro Suction Mount *** *Must be 12mm, any longer and you may damage the PCB *** ** Note(s): ** * Once you're happy with the fit I would advise you to glue the quadlock mount to the front of the case as the single screw holding it together puts pressure on the coil which may affect it's lifespan. * If you have trouble fitting parts together, check your horizontal expansion settings (cura). ** This project is undergoing testing **
