Smart Card Case (parametric)

Description

This card wallet/case got room for at least 8 cards (possibly one or two more). The model is parametric so the number of cards can be lowered. To get the model exact some printer settings has to be provided in the code. There are many of these wallets on thingiverse. I have got some of my ideas from commercially sold wallets before I found many of them here and later used some ideas from them as well. To make the design more 3D printer friendly the handle for pushing the cards up is placed on the side. This also makes it possible to have more cards inside. I might try to place it on the bottom instead in the future since this gets it out of the way. I use fabric/leather on the inside of the walls to keep the cards in place. This works good but it might take some iterations to get it to work with your choice of material. A difference from other versions here on Thingiverse is that I use many more shelfs on the arm that also is thiner than the cards. This works much better in my experience since cards vary in thickness from 0.8-1.3 mm. (the shelf size is 0.6 mm as default in this model) Another fix that I have done is to lowered the arm down in the backside of the box so that the cards dont get stuck in between the wall and the arm. Other versions on thingiverse also tries to print the wallet in almost one piece. This makes it hard to get a sturdy design. I instead print the box in two parts and glue them together. This make it possible to have thin and durable walls because it is printed with the layers the other direction. This however makes a bit more time consuming to print and requires som more work. Future updates will probably give the possibility to move the arm. This will however probably lower the maximum amount of cards in the wallet. Do not use the STL files since this is only for display. (I unfortunately designed the code in OpenSCAD (2018.03.17) which is not finished yet. But you can download it on the OpenSCAD webpage. This is required since I use some new features in this version. )
