Monorail five-brick-ramp
Description
A ramp for the Lego-monorail-system. It complements to my five-brick-extention for the normal ramp, that elevates the track to 10 bricks, so you can bring the tracks to a normal level again, if maybe your mountain is 15 studs high. It elevates the track five bricks on a length of 48 studs. It consists of three parts (a lower- a mid- and a high-section). You can remove the mid-section to get to a height of 2 1/3 bricks. Even if you don't use support-stands, I recomend to use 2x2 plates on the underside of the track for stability-reasons. As the whole thing is curved, I recomend to elevate the model to 1.5 - 2mm so the supports can be removed easier. It's also helpful to rotate the track some degree (15 to 20 or something) to the side, so the print-surface is smoother. Update: v3-tracks have recesses on the underside, so they can be placed onto studs (or you can mount accessories under the tracks. I use the grey BASF Innofil3D PLA by now, it has a pretty neat color and texture. It is more like the new light grey bricks than like the original color but it's the best match I could find by now. If you have material suggestions just leave a comment :). I'm not that happy with the design by now, because it's a pain to print (especially to remove the supports), maybe it's best to print with some water soluble support-material.
