Prusa MK3 cooling fan duct/shroud

Prusa MK3 cooling fan duct/shroud

Description

I've been looking for some more efficient cooling fan nozzles/ducts/shrouds for the MK3 with the new R3 head, but I couldn't seem to find the one i wanted. So inspired from some of the many other improved fan ducts for the MK2 etc. I designed this one that provides air flow from the front and the two sides. Note that with this mounted, the fan is no longer mounted at 45 degrees, but at 90 degrees. I haven't done any air flow tests on the duct so far, but it does seem to improve the overhang capabilities of my Prusa i3 MK3. Feel free test the air flow and comment it for further optimization. For the print I used PETG with settings seen below. The infill is set to 100%, but because of the thin geometry of the duct, this doesn't really increase the weight or the printing time. The orientation of the duct is the same way as it is mounted. The slicing has been done in Slic3r PE with "Detect thin walls" and "Detect bridging perimiters" enabled - otherwise the rest of the settings are pretty default. With a layer height at 0.15, this print took me 1 hour 23 minutes. Remember to put a small washer between the upper fan mounting bolt and the head, to prevent the fan from being skewed.
