Modular filament roll dryer (dehumidifier) using only a 50mmx15mm fan and silica gel cat litter
Description
This is a filament dryer that uses silica gel and a small fan to dry filament. The design is modular. You print a "Roll Dryer - Housing Segment" for every roll you want to fit in. You fill the base with dry silica gel and the centrifugal fan creates a central high pressure zone in the middle of the channel spiral. Return vents line the outer wall. The center of the filament roll spools become the return intake duct and a flow of air is created, filtering through the desiccant. I use $4 silica cat litter from walmart https://www.walmart.com/ip/Vibrant-Life-Mini-Crystal-Cat-Litter-Unscented-4-lb/771020427 and this fan from amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0755BY9RH/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 ...that I had leftover from making the fang cooling nozzle for my printer.
