Ncase M1 - TopHat - Large 58mm
Description
### Important _The TopHats have been designed based on the v5.0 of the Ncase. I don't know if earlier versions of the case will cause any issues with this model._ ### **Info** This is a "tophat" mod for the "Ncase M1" case to improve airflow and/or mount an AIO at the top of the case. There are currently a few different sizes of the tophat, so make sure you have selected the propper height of the model before printing! Do the math beforehand and know your components dimensions, some of these models are large and can take more than 24h to print (based on specific settings).

### **Large - 58mm TopHat** Fan size: 2x120mm Fan height: 15/25mm Radiator size: 120/240mm Radiator height: 27/30mm
_Scroll to the bottom to see other sizes._

### **Fan/Aio Brackets** In order to attach the fans or AIO to the tophat, you have two options: - Use the original Ncase AIO-bracket and attach them at the top of the frame *Or* - Print the included fan-railing brackets and attach them at the bottom of the frame (6pcs) ### **Underside Clips** Also included as a separate print are two small underside clips, that should be attached to the bottom-front and rear part of the frame. These are needed to firmly place the tophat to the case itself. One needs to remove the front panel and slide in the tophat so that the clips slide under the thin case frame.

### **Screws** In order to attach the fan-brackets and the underside-clips, you would need some standard flat-head machine screws: - Fan-railings: 8 x M3x8mm - Underside clips: 4 x M3x8mm
### **Top panel clips** The top-panel locks in the same way it originally does, by using the Ncase panel clips. I used the 4 clips from the top of the case (be careful when removing) and placed them on each of the four clip holders on the tophat. You basically just need to slide them in sideways. Based on how your print turned out, you might need to use a sharpie and clean some excess plastic before being able to slide the clip fully. When in place it should be sturdy and not flimsy, otherwise they will pop out when placing or removing the top-panel.

### **Sizes** Below is a list of currently available sizes and what options they have. The sizes differ by the height of the tophat. If there is a particular size that is missing that you would like to see, send me a message and I'll find time to add it. I can also provide models that are not sliced at the middle, if you have a large enough printer. **[small - _18mm_](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3255748)** Fan size: 2x120mm Fan height: 15mm
**[medium - _28mm_](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3255695)** Fan size: 2x120mm Fan height: 25mm
**large - _58mm_ (this)** Fan size: 2x120mm Fan height: 15/25mm Radiator size: 120/240mm Radiator height: 27/30mm
### **Contribution** Any tips or ideas for improving the tophat are welcome!
