Spool Holder System for IKEA BESTÅ, STUVA Combo (Replaced Backplate and Original)

Description

Here is my spool holder system for a IKEA STUVA & BESTÅ Combo. **************************************** First of all, Please note that these are primarly adapted for a BESTÅ cabinet with a replaced backplate. The original ikea one is very thin and flimsy. But I have also included shorter versions of the hangers that should work with the original plate. And since i tossed it after construction i only took some measurements now and shortened them by 2.3cm. So those are untested but still included in this package. But if you do decide to replace the backplate with a proper board you can also make the entire BESTÅ cabinet air-tight. Some silicon, window strips and a hinge on the door and you have a low humidity spool storage chamber while printing. ***************************************** IKEA Parts 2x BESTÅ (Hinges) 802.612.58 BESTÅ (Smal Frame) 702.458.48 SINDVIK (Small Door) 802.918.54 STUVA GRUNDLIG (Clothing pole, for filament) 801.286.98 IKEA HUGAD, 102.171.41 (For metal pipe bits instead of printed) The original design of this holders is not available anymore but i did a remix of this design https://blog.adafruit.com/2016/09/22/wall-mounted-filament-spool-holder-3dthursday-3dprinting/ So the original credit goes there. But i also modified it with the added clip that holds everything together since it was a pain to swap rolls, things just fell out and twisted all over the place. But with the clip everything holds together, And it also supports almost any filament roll from small 0.5kg up to 1kg big and wide rolls like the PRUSA filament. Select your Width to what fits with your rolls. (60mm, 80mm or 94mm) The Pipe bits can be cut in metal from IKEA HUGAD, 102.171.41 OR You an select the size you want and just print the corresponding pipe size Please note that they are made to be quite snug so they don´t fall out, sand lightly if it´s to tight. The idea is to be able to swap sizes depending on the roll you hang for the moment and for easy and quick removal of the rolls. And finally the small clamps are there to stop the rolls from moving about too much during printing and also accommodate even more sizes. Just use a clamp to fit almost any roll on the pipe even if it´s smaller than the width. I also use them to stop the rolls from moving to one side as they feel like to do during printing and stop the roll from scraping the hangers sides causing unwanted friction. Enjoy and happy printing
