Anycubic I3 Mega Hotend Cover V2

Anycubic I3 Mega Hotend Cover V2

Description

This is the second version of my hotend cover for the Anycubic I3 Mega. The primary change (aside from the color) is the area for the front fan. That fan now has to be 20mm deep. This one: Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX 40mm (more airflow, less noise) It takes some dexterity to install the nuts in the pipe ... and a bit of brute force. Print time was about 0:51h for the pipe and 2:48h for the chassis. Filament usage: 11g for the pipe and 37g for the chassis. BOM 4x screw M3x30 (fan/front) 2x screw M3x6 (chassis/rear) 2x screw M3x10 (chassis/top) 8x nut M3 **But .... there is a problem:** the NF-A4x20 does not turn [yet]! It turns, if I connect it to 12V. And the NF-A4x10 still turns on the Anycubic -> no driver blown. That means: the model fits but the electronics does not yet do what it should do. Crap! [Known problem](https://www.thingiverse.com/groups/anycubic-i3-mega/forums/general/topic:30940). **Update 20.01.2019:** Added V2a which comes with a modified fan duct. It's untested yet ... see [comment #2283950](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3224780/comments/#comment-2283950).
