Zodiac Containers
Description
Zodiac Containers are a set of simple and fun round storage containers suitable for all sorts of small things. The containers have a screw on lid with your choice of either a traditional or graphical (stl's with a "_g" at the end of the file name) Zodiac symbol. There is also a blank lid with no symbol that could be customized with other graphics. In total there are 25 lids, including the blank, and three container heights to choose from. The containers have an internal neck diameter of 56mm at standard scale and come in a choice of three heights ( 12.5mm / 25mm / 40mm ). The thread length has been minimized so only 270 degrees of rotation is to secure the lid firmly. Scaling up will be no problem as long as both the container and corresponding lid are uniformly scaled up. Scaling down is likely to result in the thread being too tight so the parts will not screw together. Have fun printing your Zodiac containers in your favorite color/s or the traditional color associated with a Zodiac sign. Options include printing the container in one color and kid in a different color... or printing both the container and the lid in the same color but pause your machine near the end of the lid print (when you can see the Zodiac graphic shape starting to form and the surrounding lid surface is finished) to swap the filament color, then resume to finish the print... it's easy and makes them look great! Zodiac colors for your reference are: Aries color: Red Taurus color: Green Gemini color: Yellow Cancer color: White and silver Leo color: Gold Virgo color: Green and brown Libra color: Pink and blue Scorpio color: Black Sagittarius color: Purple Capricorn color: Brown and grey Aquarius color: Blue Pisces color: Light green These containers are quick and easy prints as long as you have an accurate slicing app and a well set up / precise machine. No support is required but using a raft is recommended for ease of removal from the build plate. Your container should be ready to use straight off the build plate however it is recommended that you apply a light silicone (or similar) spray on lubricant to the threads. Freshly printed filament is very dry so the lubricant will help make the threads slide past each other as they get worn in. Please refer to the images and print instructions for additional information and also post images of your Zodiac Containers for other members to see.
