Yeti Microphone Base

Yeti Microphone Base

Description

This is a custom mount I created for my Blue Yeti Microphone. It comes in three pieces with an option 4th piece. It is designed and oriented so that it should not need any supports. Print the base, upper and inner rings. The upper ring attaches to the base with your glue of choice. Use elastic cord, rubber bands or possibly string/para cord of some kind by looping it back and forth through the provided holes in the upper and inner rings. See photo if that doesn't make sense. This design is intended to reduce any transmitted noise from the table that the mic is sitting on. Seems to work fine for me with the elastic cording I'm using. Your Yeti mic should be removed from it's original mount, just unscrew the side screws and then put them back in the Yeti, these act as stops so the mic can't slide down too far. Then slip your Yeti into the upper ring and enjoy knock free recordings. The piece labled PopFilterClip is something I use to mount a DIY pop filter between user and Mic. Including it here just in case you have something that it might work with. It provides a horizontal hole to attach 'something' to the upper ring via and just slides onto the ring. You could glue it if needed but I prefer to be able to pop it off, the friction is enough to keep it on until I want it off.
