APOLLO 11 SPACE SUIT CONNECTOR upper right side
Description
Connector for the A7L space suit, designed from pictures from the Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin suit. This one is the upper right side connector (PLSS wather in-out), it must be painted anodized blue aluminium . All connectors are sized for an 8 y/o costume, but can be scaled up for an adult. The ring is screwed on top of the cloth layers and the connector itself must come from below the cloth (unlike the oxygen ones that are attached on top of the cloth). The gold locks and the small tabs are designed to be printed separately, painted and then glued to the final part to add realism. In the inner side there are 3mm holes to glue 3mm diameter steel bearing balls (that you can buy in aliexpress), also there is a slot to add a 3mm diameter 22mm outer diameter red Oring. At the center there is an 5mm diameter hole to glue a 5mm magnet (3mm high) that I also bought from aliexpress, it keeps the connector plug in place. This thing was made with Tinkercad.
