Tevo Tornado (CR-10) antivibration legs

Tevo Tornado (CR-10) antivibration legs

Description

3D printers of Prusa construction have very large vibrations on the frame. These vibrations are also transmitted to the printed object, which leads to a decrease in the quality of 3D printing. Various soft materials, such as polyethylene foam, certainly improve the situation, but are not permanent, as they quickly lose their shape and become unusable and requiring frequent replacement. Many peoples make plastic anti-vibration legs (there are many different models on this site), but personally they did not suit me in some of their properties. Also, some people do anti-vibration legs basis on the tennis balls, but I think that tennis balls are softly and large. I do not like them. I have seen some use squash balls. But these balls are relatively expensive. After some searching, I found the perfect solution for myself - toy balls for dogs. The balls have a diameter of 45mm and turned out to be perfect in size! With its very low price, they have excellent performance hardness! I can say - PERFECT performance. Based on these balls, I developed the shape of the legs and now my printer stands on the ideal anti-vibration feet! This thing is two versions of the legs. The first one has 40 mm for standard use (total height with a ball is 53mm). The second - 55 (height with a ball - 68mm) is suitable for any standalone mod. I found the same balls for aliexpress. Below is a link for those who want to repeat my mod, but do not want to go shopping in search of such balls. Link is NOT a referral! http://ali.onl/1agP I also made a video about these legs. True video in Russian language, but you can understand about the work of the legs and their design without sound. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzkaYTCKen0
